On September 12, 2026, we had the pleasure of attending the opening art show of contemporary artist and architect Taia Akulova—an evening filled with striking art, great energy, and an eclectic group of guests. Taia’s expressive work explores emotion, imagination, mythology, and the subconscious through bold, dreamlike imagery. Experiencing the pieces in person—and watching guests connect with the work throughout the evening—made for a fantastic night.

A special thank-you goes to Nelson, the event curator, for putting together such a memorable exhibition, and to Alex and Raquel of KTM Events for having us there to capture it all. The evening also gave us the opportunity to meet and photograph a fun mix of guests, including Edward Gibson, son of Mel Gibson, and Buster from Steely Dan, among many others who came out to celebrate Taia and her work.
